WHAT MAKES FILIPINASLIVE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SITES?
- FilipinasLive is not a database site. Other dating sites' databases are prepopulated with records from other sites. Records are even fictitous.

For now, there are no recurring costs involved. If your platinum membership expires, you will automatically be downgraded to a standard member, unless you pay for another platinum membership subscription. Upgrade of membership will take at least one (1) business day provided we have received the payment notification receipt from our payment gateway.

HOW CAN I BECOME A MEMBER?
You can become a member by visiting our signup page. Just fill-up a one page application form. You instantly become a member if you are a male. For females, the application form you have filled-up and submitted will be sent to us via email and you will be scheduled for interview. Because females are automatically included as Platinum members for free, they are therefore screened, authenticated and thought on how to use the system before their records are included in our database.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STANDARD MEMBER AND A PLATINUM MEMBER?
If you sign-up with us, you automatically become a standard member. With standard membership, you can browse for members, check on their profile, send a wink (show interest), or add to your contacts list. A standard member can also opt or buy our romance tour packages. However, a standard member cannot send a message and chat with platinum members.
Platinum members, on the other hand, have all the benefits a standard member has, plus the ability and unlimitedly exchange messages and/or chat with other platinum members. HOW CAN I BECOME A PLATINUM MEMBER?
You can upgrade your standard membership to a platinum member by subscribing to it. Just visit our membership upgrade page (be sure to log-in before clicking the link here or you won't be able to access it), and click any of the subscription plan. Doing so will bring you to our secured payment gateway (PayPal) allowing you to pay online via your credit card or PayPal account, if you have one.
As soon as we have received a payment receipt from PayPal, we shall immediately do the necessary steps in order to upgrade your record. We shall notify you of the event via email. Usually, it would take a few minutes or a maximum of one business day in order to upgrade your membership.

HOW WLL I SEARCH FOR A MEMBER?
You may search for a member by going to the search page. Note that the search button is located in the horizontal menu just below the header. Doing so will bring up the search page. The search page provides 3 ways to search for a member.
Any of the search method above accompanies its own "search now" button. After supplying required parameters (you may leave others to its default), click the "search now" button. Doing so will bring up the search results page. Click any picture of interest in the search list, if there's any. Doing so will bring up the member's profile. From the member's profile, just click the "add to contact list" icon (next to the eye icon) to add the member to your contacts list.

WHAT'S A WINK?
Wink allows you to "show interest" to other members even if you are a standard or platinum member. You can send a wink to a particular member by visiting his/her profile, then click the wink button (represented by an "eye"). Doing so will send a message to the involved person.
When you are interested with a person, you usually add the person's profile to your contact list so you can easily get back to him/her the next time. See the next section on how to add a member to your contacts list.

HOW CAN I CHAT WITH A MEMBER?
There are two ways by which you can launch a chat with a member:
Doing so will launch the chat window. If the member you would want to have a chat with is "online", chances are you'll be able to chat with him/her. Otherwise, send him/her a text message instead utilizing our internal messaging system. See the next item on internal messaging system.

The messaging system is located in the member's home page. If you are logged-in, just click here to view the messaging system. Otherwise, a forbidden page will come up.
The messaging system is like an email system. But it's exclusive to platinum members only. With the messaging system, you can send short to long messages to another member. Note that you need to know the member's username (or handle) in order to be able to send him/her a message. After entering the username, provide the subject, and the body of the letter. Then click send. If you know how to use an email system, you would definitely know how to use this.
